Responsible Care® 14001 Management System
Lubrizol is a member of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and, as a subsidiary of Lubrizol, we subscribe to the guiding principles of Responsible Care®. The ACC created the Responsible Care 14001 Management System (RC-14001), which requires third-party certification of our environmental, health, safety, and security management systems across all business activities. CPI has been RC-14001 certified since 2006. With continual improvement as a fundamental tenet, implementing RC-14001 provides a framework that will take chemical companies above and beyond their prior accomplishments to achieve even higher standards of performance and to generate greater value for their businesses.
CPI has identified environmental, health, safety, and security aspects of our activities, products, and services. We have determined which of these aspects that could have a significant impact on the environment, health, safety and security of the stakeholders and community. These significant aspects are available to the public upon request.
CPI is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for our employees and protecting the community in which we operate. Our Health, Safety, Environmental and Security (HSES) manual, which are the best policies, procedures and practices that we uphold, outline our requirements for safety procedures and guidelines. We have set HSES Objectives and Target to continual improve the RC-14001 Management System. Our goal for these Objectives and Targets is to accomplish the following:
- Reduce risk to prevent injuries
- No incidents that could harm the environment
- Prevent security breeches
